Mural Livery Cupboard

English, 1600-1630

Oak. Mural livery cupboard to hold the bread, cheese and beer ("livery") that was given to each member of the household for supper and breakfast. The cupboard was pierced to keep the livery fresh and was hung on the wall out of reach of rats and mice. Later feet removed, otherwise good condition, no restoration.

35-1/2" w x 13-3/4" d x 17-1/2" h.
