Tudor Child's Boarded Stool

English, 1550-1600

Oak. Hen's-tooth rare! A child's stool for sitting on or for standing at table. Molded-edge top secured with through-tenons and pegs. Boarded sides with lively profiles; Boot-jack ends with shaped edges and arched feet. Engraving is c. 1700 in Chinnery. Very good condition, no repairs or restoration, old age crack on seat, now stable.

16-1/2" l x 8-1/2" w x 12-1/2" h.
