Rosewater Bowl

English, 1680-1720

Brass. If you're imposing you don't need to be pretty. Beautifully made, heavy bowl with stepped rim and a running dovetailed joint between bottom and booge. No decorative frou-frous at all, just a large, perfectly proportioned bowl. Rosewater bowls were used for washing the hands between the courses of a meal, but you can use it for whatever you want. It's the largest we've seen, and we're sure you'll love it as much as we do. Teeny tiny rim split, otherwise excellent condition. No restoration.

15-3/4" diam, 4" deep.
