Small William and Mary Chest on Stand

English, 1690-1720

Oak. A small country chest on stand; no bells, no whistles -- but good proportions and small size. Look at the arches on the stand -- someone had great fun designing them! Overall -- just a neat example of rural joinery, nothing more and nothing less. We loved it when we picked it out of a house here in Ipswich. In two parts, the upper with two short over two long drawers The lower part with one long drawer, baluster legs and wavy stretcher Apron with exceptional cut-outs Ball feet and brasses replaced, one drawer front with "fill-it," one top board replaced.

Case: 35" w x 21" d., Stand: 39" w x 22-1/2" d, overall height: 50"
