Three-Footed Bowl

Dutch, c.1725

Tin-glazed earthenware. An unusual and attractive form raised on three feet. Well decorated with coat of arms with unicorn supports, swags of flowers, fruit and foliage. Applied rope-twist handles. Possibly a cache-pot for holding a flower pot. Delft factory mark of VP. Typical rim frittering and glaze crackle. One foot restored (see 2nd Image)
